Cancellation Policy

Terms of safari cancelation

We are aware that Inconveniences and emergency might happen while you already booked a safari with us, but it is advised that canceling should not be your options list as you will miss the chance for an unforgettable African Safari. However, there are some incidents that might not be in your control that might lead to cancelation. Whenever cancelling a safari at Explore African Safaris is deemed necessary, then below are terms for canceling a safari.

  • A written information with cancellation details, so you can either write an email or a fax, with the details of you canceling the Safari.
  • We will apply 15% charges will be applied to the total Safari cost if you decide to cancel a trip 60 days before arrival of your safari as to compensate the service charges.
  • Between the 60-45 days before the arrival of your safari, 35% charges to your entire safari cost will be applied if you decide to cancel your safari.
  • We will consider 50% charges to the whole Safari cost if you decide to cancel your Safari in between day 44 today 31 upon your arrival.
  • In case there are any cancellation between 30 to 7 days to the day of your arrival will be subject to 75% deduction charges to the total Safari cost.
  • In case the cancellation is made less than 7 days before commencing your safari, then it will subjected to 100% deduction of the charges paid. This is to say that there will bo no refunds for this case, since most of the paid amount will be directed to park fees, securing accommodations and all the related services.

In the following sceneries we will not be able to refund or compensate you.

  • We will not refund you, if you will not show up to any services in your safari packages without a prior information. This includes but not limited to missing a flight, not showing up in accommodation arranged for you or any safari activities in your package.
  • Once your Safari has started you won’t be able to terminate it, if you end it while it already started you we will not be able to refund you or compensate for the remaining activities that you have not yet completed in your itineraries.
  • Amendment of the itineraries is allowed however, it can only be done before the itineraries depart. When the itineraries began, we cannot change them and you we will not be able to refund you’re for the activities in your initial itineraries.

When we cancel the Safari

In a very rare cases we can cancel a Safari, and by all the means we avoid to cancel a Safari unless there are reasons that are beyond our control two things that are common for us to cancel a trip is either failure of the client to make payment on time or force majeure. However, if it happens we are obligated to the following.

  • We are obligated to arrange a similar alternative package to initial one, with the similar cost. If the package arranged to you cost less than the original one, then we refund the remaining amount. If it happens that the arranged package cost more than the initial cost, you will be obligated to make pay for the additional cost.
  • And if it happens, that you are not interest with the new package which happens rarely because know exactly what our clients desire, but if it happens we make a full refund to our client.
